I think your first point was key! Having a hard working husband with the same passion for you staying at home is such a blessing. You’ve given me more ideas for things we can do to save. Meal planning has been such a great one for us! x
+The Joyful Homemaker Thank you! And yeah it wouldn’t be possible without him βΊοΈ I feel very blessed to be with a guy that has the same values as me and such a hardworking loving spirit. Many many people today do not see the value in homemaking.
this is a great video. Budgeting and meal planning are keys in being frugal. I also use coupons and coupon apps
It is so inspiring to see that a 90’s born woman could actually be interested in living this way! I was raised (born in 83 to Parents who immigrated to the US from the Caribbean) in a two income home, and most of the women in my family have college education and make good money. I only thought that rich folk could have a stay at home mom situation until I became and adult and met ppl outside of my culture who do live this way, but just live very modestly.
Yes we got approved easily for $400,000 but we wanna always stay under $200,000 and that’s what works for us. We also have newer cars but we got them and paying them off, we don’t plan to buy new ones until they bite the dust. We do save money where we can. But we make more and save even more π love your videos!
excited for the laundry detergent video!! so thankful to have found your channel! you are a blessing
+Kendra Giles Thank you so much!!
That fish eye lens is trippy.
I do heaps of these tips already. But I will admit I do get fast food like once a week average. In saying that it’s like $5 lol
But our “fun” we do things like go up to a look out with a pre-packed meal and eat with a view π
We haven’t been to a restaurant in AGESSSSSSSSSSS. We still can’t buy a house though π
We can’t get approved for anything in the area that would keep everyone happy. We can only afford places that are ages away from family and family aren’t happy about it and have said they won’t come visit us if we move there.
We meal plan as my partner is paid monthly so I cook all the meals up in one big day and freeze them. Otherwise we run out of food and money lol
Great tips! Here are a few of mine – to save on water I set the machine for one size smaller load than it may look like is needed, and I’ll stop the machine after a few minutes to let everything soak for a while. Once it’s all submerged, it’s usually plenty of water, and it helps loosen stains. We have Amazon prime, and it has more than paid for itself, since we can usually find items we need for our home at lower prices than in stores. We buy paper goods and diapers this way, and it’s often the same or less than if I would’ve planned out a sale plus coupon purchase at a store. I don’t buy pre packaged beverages. I mainly drink water, but my husband likes iced tea, so I’ll buy a big box of inexpensive tea bags and brew a big pitcher with as little sugar as I can get away with before he makes a face lol. I put fruit and herbs from the garden to flavor it too. I also don’t get professional pictures taken. I do my own “photo shoots” of my daughter at home, and it’s so much more fun. I set up backdrops and props and dress her up. I take and edit the pics on my phone and have them printed for very little money. I’ve done themed pictures and holiday ones. We did our Christmas card like this and people went wild over it lol. Hope you find these useful π
what do y’all splurge on?
do you homeschool?
This is my dream too! I want to be a stay at home mom with lots of babies, people think I am crazy LOL
+Kaila Awwh that’s awesome!
You go girl! Me to π
You’re a blessed & you’re a blessing!
You are such an inspiring lady! ππ
these are great tips! It makes it so much easier if you and your partner are on the same page as far as budgeting. I could be saving so much more money right now lol
Great tips! Where did you find your cell phone plan for $15? Our cell phone bill was $175 for two phones. Now ours is $90 for 2 but $15 each would be awesome!
I’m inspired by how seriously you take your role as a homemaker. π
It’s really pushed me to take it seriously. Thank you for your videos b
